Wasn't sure where to put this one today, but this is as good a place as any.

Darci Looks Up
by SRHawk64, on Flickr

The focus is off a tad bit on this one, but I love the look in my little girl's eyes.
This was the first shot on a new card a couple weeks ago.

Today, however, as I mentioned in another thread, Darci had several severe seizures and we had to take her to an emergency veterinary hospital. She is resting there overnight in an ICU on IV anti-seizure and anti-inflammatory meds. They seem to have the seizures under control for now and we hope tomorrow, and an MRI, will bring answers and better news for her future. Fingers crossed that she will be back home to antagonize her canine "sister" Katie soon.

This lens was an anniversary present. Taken the fist day it was mine. I have a great wife.

Haven't posted much in awhile... in part because I haven't shot much I've liked in awhile. But this one of my favorite model Katie isn't too bad.

A couple weekends back, the weekend before Thanksgiving, Katie got her hair cut. So, later that day (or the next), after coming back from the groomer's, we had her "sit" for an impromptu Holiday 2015 Portrait. The groomer had put the bows on her ears, and since Katie doesn't much like bows and scratches at them to get them off, we knew they wouldn't last long... thus the impromptu portrait shoot.

Unfortunately, I had the camera set to ISO 250 from an attempt at shooting the moon the night before, so that skewed the shutter speed (and exposure) a bit when I went to Aperture Priority at f/2. (Ambient light only, or maybe a little added LED light; SOOC JPEG.)

Alas, I sold mine.

While the IQ is fantastic, the focal length just doesn't work for me as a lens that I can slap on my camera and take for a walk. And I have MF 50mm that I can use when I want a short tele for portraits.

If only Sony would come up with a 28 mm version for same money with a similar IQ.... Even the 35m is a bit too wide, and quite a bit overpiced.
