Dandelion in Union Square Park

testing out this new-to-me lens. I tried some telephoto shots but this one came out the best. Need to practice my faraway shots skillz :) I'm surprised at how sharp it is. I am also outside on a very nice day..

Of course, it's just as sharp in low light, if you can figure out how to accurately focus through noisy viewfinder and hold the darn thing still. ;-)

And use MF. It has issues focusing on anything reliably in low light with AF. It will focus eventually.
Up to 105mm, I think 18-105 outperforms it, but it's still a good sharp lens, just not an indoors lens.

sorry for spamming a bit here! Went on a trip to SF with the 55-210, 16-70, and 35. 55-210 came out a lot more than I thought!

I tried chasing after seagulls with the 55-210 freehand but was not able to get a clean sharp shot. my breakdown of shots per lens was at about 50% for the 55-210 due to bursting but that number went down to 28% 'okay' photos and then down to three spectacular enough for flickr.

Nice shots!
My grab & go kit when I want to travel light in the day is the SEL55210 and the 1650PLZ with a NEX-6. The 55-210 does great when the light is good. When the light is low it's very difficult to get good shots with it unless I set a high ISO and/or use a tripod.

Thank you! All a matter of lucky timing I guess. I was hoping to see the tiger cubs today, but these three made up for the cubs staying inside.
