I've got to post up some examples, but I really like this lens. It's very affordable, lightweight and for non-critical uses, it's very much up to the task. It keeps the a7 "compact" while delivering that "full frame" look better than say an a6000 w/kit or m43 with kit.

I always keep at least one basic, auto-everything lens I can take to family events. I need one lens where I can put everything on auto and hand the camera to my wife, and things will just work. She's a people person when it comes to photos, and I am not so much. It works.

I think the 28-70 will be that lens, which came with my A7ii a few months ago. For that purpose, I think it will be fine.

Pretty impressed with this kit lens. I usually sell the kit right away, but I think I'm keeping this one for awhile. This picture was a heavily cropped jpeg but still provided a lot of detail to work with.

SOOC jpg (almost - slight vignette added in snapseed) with pleasing results at f/4. I'm not saying this lens is anything special compared to some of the pricey glass in the system but it is useful, sharp and light.

I'm pretty happy with this lens, especially for $100. I used it this morning to capture some Porsche's.

Picture taking is starting to make a comeback here.
Now, do I need a native 50mm?
These are my typical SOOC jpeg's.
