Haven't used my lens since I upgraded from the A6000 to the R3 and picked up a bunch of other FE lenses. Went for a walk with the wife this past weekend and decided to take only the 24-240. First chance to really look at it on FF. A little soft in the corners that was hidden on the A6000, but for a 10x zoom, it's really not bad.

The more I shoot with it, the more I am convinced that it is a very capable lens. Yeah, occasionally there will be dud shots, but the same can be said even for the best lenses out there. I think it does pretty well, especially for travel.

I am for the most part fairy impressed with the IQ. This looks like a good walking around lens and mimics the lower half of my favorite 12-60 (24-120)/3.5-5.6. It's not a fast lens, but more than enough for the intended purpose. It also looks to be a nice size and weight.

The most recent photos are from almost a year and a half ago. Has this lens fallen out of favor or is it just old news? I can see foregoing the kit lens and putting the couple-hundred bucks toward this instead.
