Just in case, you're in the market for a good 20mm, checkout Tokina's 20/2. It works very well.

...The Tokina Firin is more expensive, heavier, larger, doesn’t have weather sealing and is only f/2 compared to the f/1.8 of the Sony. The XD linear focus motors in the Sony lens, borrowed from previous G Master lenses, is also an incredible feature that lets you get the most out of Sony’s AF system...

The AF Firin is $50 more, but the MF Firin is $200-$300 less. Personally I am fine with MF on a wide angle lens. It inherently has tremendous DOF and you generally are not shooting people anyway.

I don't see f/1.8 vs f/2 as a deal breaker either. As for size, the Sony is actually a tad larger (minute difference) and has a larger filter size.

I am sure the Sony is likely quite good and I would enjoy it, but the Tokina is no slouch. Paper specs are helpful but not conclusive, and I would not dismiss a lens unless you've actually used it.

the review Sony 20 mm f/1.8 G by Thomas from CameraLabs:

The Sony FE 20mm f1.8 G is an ultra-wide prime lens designed for Alpha mirrorless cameras and corrected for full-frame sensors. It delivers an ultra wide field-of-view that captures comfortably more than a 24mm, making it ideal for expansive landscapes, tight interiors, wide astro photography, as well as vlogging or environmental portraiture. It has a decent feature set including a de-clickable aperture ring and multi-purpose focus hold button plus its optical performance even surpasses the very good Sony FE 24mm f1.4 GM. This deserves a Highly Recommended!
