I have just bought last Friday the SEL 18200 f/3.5-6.3 OSS LE, the new one (said to be the rebranded Tamron - but it isn't - it has a totally different optical construction).
I have tested too the classical SEL 18200 one week ago. The difference in real life photography is negligible, opposed to the difference of appearence on the slim body of NEX-7.
Bottom line, after a few days I love it, I will sell the kit lens ASAP...
The first two are taken with the old lens
first at 47 mm 1/20s@f/5,0 ISO200 (crop), second at 188 mm 1/100s@f/6.3 ISO 200
These two are taken at the long end (with the new lens), the first is a 100% crop taken at 1/400s@f/6.3 ISO 400, the second one 1/160s@f/6.3 ISO 200
Here are a few images taken at Lincoln over the weekend. Sony A7s, sel18200 lens. Some using the inbuilt hdr6 option. I'm just an amateur photographer but found this camera intuitive and decent HDR image capture very easy.
