Went out tonight looking for the supermoon but no such luck. Cloudy with rain.
So I thought I'll test out the high ISO capabilities...

No post processing done, except for cropping on last image.

LOL - I just thought the 3.200 ISO shots look noisier than the 3.200 ISO shots from my NEX-7 ... Except they're 32.000! :O

Yes Silent shutter mode (Silent Shooting -- according to Sony Menu) works for adapted lenses too.
It is a weird feeling. I ended up taking multiple shots because I didn't get any audible indication that the shot occurred.
I guess that's why they called it SILENT. The screen blinks once when the pic is taken.
But if your eyes blink at the same time, you could miss it.

Got mine the other day so shot the family sharing stories with air quotes around the backyard fire pit.
    SOOC jpg - ISO 64,000 - 1/60 sec. - f/8 because I can ;-) - EV -1 - Sony Zeiss 24-70
Hope have time to play with the RAW files, but think I might just want to have more fun shooting. This is the most excited I have been about a camera since I got my Canon T90.

Was that question directed towards me?
I was at 70mm, so didn't zoom in at all with my lens.

Took the A7S with my new SEL55F18Z lens to the local International Festival here in Raleigh, NC.

I practiced tracking using the Lock-on AF:Flexible Spot and it worked pretty well. Also, didn't have to use a flash at all!

Pretty sure all these images were shot wide open :)

Here are some of the images!
