New York: Sony A7r w/ Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 SSC

I recently had to go to Jersey for a wedding and decided to trek to Manhattan for a 45 minute walk.
All of these shots were taken playing with the aperture and focus manually. I was surprised I got so many in "focus"

Great street photography! I really like the post processing and especially the color tone

Awesome shots! Are these JPEG straight out of camera or RAW?

Keep up the good work. I'll be testing out my new A7r with some leica lenses today. Did you use focus peaking a lot?

@jedilost1 Most Def, I have it set to high. I used that and the zoom focus feature. Also also used my eye. Focus peaking isn't always sharp.

0879c316a3b858fffef0fcc5ee5b48e1. set it to AF/MF and click the button once for a light zoom on the subject to manually focus. Press twice and it zooms in 7x for you to get a nice sharp focus.

Posting this from my phone so I'm sure some of the quality may have been taken away but lots of fun with a7r and m mount adapter.

Nice pics. Nice focusing too. I got a cheap Fotga adapter from Amazon (i think) it was $15 I think.

I would suggest also looking at Minolta Rokkor lenses on eBay. Really cheap and great quality.

Quick question: Did you notice any issues when attempting to use Auto ISO, or did you set ISO manually for each shot?

I set the ISO to Auto on most shots. Depending in the setting I have it on (P, A, S, M) I usually leave it on P. If I need a bit more like or don't like the color then I play with the ISO setting. Another thing is how you have the aperture set and the setting you're using. I noticed when I used S (shutter) priority the shots come out dark. Too dark for my liking. So I had to switch back to A (Aperture) to get lighter photos. BTW are you on Instagram? Robfactory.

I noticed my metering was a bit off with some shots, I had it set to Auto ISO and it bumped the ISO up to 6400 even in very good lighting. This gave me some unneeded noise

Does your adapter read the aperture settings from the FD lenses?

Yes you can find me on Instagram, @jedilost1
