I was worried about the shutter vibration you hear about..... and I can
crop like a mad-man...... just what I was hoping for from the A7R.

    a couple more......

the otters were a real thrill for me as I had never had so much time to shoot them.
they were 30 yards away and just kept playing. They have always run away in
    the past.

That is a L lens? I am not sure but I think that there isn't one without L (and pretty hefty price tag).

I was shooting from inside the car, using the door frame & a beanbag for support.

This is the old version and yes, it is "L" glass. There is no auto-focus
and no stabilization, Mine cost $1500...... here's a shot of it with one
of my old Lumix cameras attached on my SERIOUS tripod...... ;-)

1500 USD is pretty good deal on it. I am thinking about a 500mm lens but don't have 1500 USD (or probably something like 2000 EUR or more) right now ... .

yea xXx1, I know what you mean!! It took me a long time to finally
get this lens. I first purchased a Canon FD 300mm 2.8 (excellent)

    4184664791_273d38c6f6_z.

    because it was cheaper......... ;-)
