I posted some thoughts about using the Sony A7R as a Leica M camera over at LeicaPlace.com. Overall I find it to be an enjoyable camera to use with M lenses, but those shooting wide landscapes and looking for sharp edges would probably feel differently.

I should have the Sony Zeiss 35/2.8 and 55/1.8 soon. Looking forward to putting them through their paces!

    TFS, and, nice shots! :)

I am now glad I wound up with some Leica R-series lenses (from their defunct SLR line) instead of M! I don't think I've encountered any compatibility issues yet. They are, however, very large and heavy - especially the 35mm! Even the 50mm makes my A7 feel more like a SLR than a rangefinder.
