Sony A7II with the ZA55/1.8 JPEG ONLY....... because it can.

    The A7II is an expensive camera. The Zeiss 55/1.8 is an expensive lens. When researching this combination, I found reviews and "professional" photog's examples of what this camera and lens could accomplish. There weren't many amateurs with the set up when I bought mine. So.... I decided to take some photos during a simple walk to show what hacks, like myself, can do with the A7 series and ZA55/1.8. Nothing fancy. No great works of art or drama. Just plain snap shots. To force the issue further, I shot only in JPEG and the resulting photos have minimal (crop, auto tone, etc.) post processing. I hope this may help someone researching the camera/lens market. The combination is phenominal and worth every hard-earned penny.

    It does appear to be a great combo. :thumbsup:
    But as I think Ansel Adams said, the most important part of the camera was the 12 inches behind the focal plane.

    I have the same camera and lens! I really enjoy it and what it can do. I'm still learning. I just started using the manual focus and find that a blast.
