Did you capture these with an infrared converted camera or did you use an infrared filter for the capture.

I use an NEX-7 which I had converted to B&W infrared. I like the intensely dark skies and white foliage that I achieve with this combination.

I chose the NEX-7 because I was able to purchase one at a very low price and because it is a lightweight camera which accepts all of my Sony e-mount lenses.

My first full time IR camera was a Canon D-60 (not 60D) DSLR which was too large for me to carry around as an extra body and which would not fit any of my Canon APSC lenses such as the 17-55mm f/2.8 IS.

So now you are doing drive-by shootings? Oh dear... ?

I have mixed reactions to IR photos. Sometimes it is fascinating, sometimes irritating. I think sometimes the false colors trigger something in my brain.

I totally accept the fact that some people, if not most, can't "get" infrared. And that is very acceptable. But for those that do get a grasp, it grows on them with every photo. For me, IR is just another tool or technique. It offers an overwhelming amount of creativity with colors that "normal" photography can't reach. IR invents colors while normal photography recreates or copies colors.

For me, IR is fun. And it is somewhat rare. This forum is a prime example. The following is the same photo processed in four different ways. There are approximately another zillion
variations, but my time is limited. Enjoy. Or not
