Went to my daughter's sock hop dance last night. I brought my camera along, because there really isn't much else to do there but sit and watch. So here is what I got.

Sorry about all the different filters. I was bored today and was playing....ALOT...in Lightroom.

This first little girl spaced out on the lights for a good five minutes. She didn't move. Made for a good subject ;)

Spots-1. This little girl with the glasses was basically put in a dress and a pair of shoes way too big for her and shoved on the dance floor by her mother who wanted to socialize. She didn't boogie down even once. She stood there the whole time with that expression. I absolutely loved her.

    Big Shoes-1. Nope 2.20.15-1.
This little one couldn't stop dancing. She was moving every which way without a care in the world. I hope she never loses that confidence.

Dance Like No One is watching 2.20.15-1.

The Pink Ladies gang....My daughter in the black cardigan.
    PinkLadies2.20.15-1.

You're taking some great shots stevsh. I prefer the color ones to black and white.

Nice shots Suzanne. Not easy in those lighting conditions. BTW - I like the colors of the filter used on the last 2.

That last shot of the "Pink Ladies" is priceless. And timeless. The girls should treasure it in years to come.

I ordered prints of the last one for each of the girls. Too late to get it into their yearbook at school, so I figured that was the next best thing

Yes, that one is both priceless and timeless. And I also love your shot of the little one dancing alone (and your sentiments about her). That you captured her from behind somehow makes her seem even more carefree and uninhibited.

Great series. Very cute - 'Dance like nobody is watching'. I love the photos.
