Pinky support, arca L bracket and a bit more substance.
I used a little plastidip on the wooden handle to take some of the bling away and add a nice grippy texture.
It - feels - great.

Can you show a few more shots of the Smallrig from the front, and sides? Wish to see how thick the bottom is, and the L-bracket end.
I have a generic L-bracket on my a6000 and love it. I'm a proponent of adding a dedicated L-bracket to Sony bodies, simply for the pinky support alone. Makes for a more comfortable shooting experience.
That added grip looks tempting.

This will probably inform you a lot better.
And I agree. I have an L-Bracket on my A7ii and A6000. This one is my first with the added top fingers grip.
I like it so much I'm thinking of adding the same one to my A6000(you too?) - not sold for it because the A6000's grip is smaller but I think I can add a thin piece of foam. The bottom of the plate fits good.
