Sleeping Bear Dunes on the shores of Lake Michigan.

For those who's never been there - the sight is breathtaking, it's about 400 feet (122 m) above the lake with a very steep descent, and the strangest thing is that if you take a scenic drive through the park, you won't see the dunes or know they even exist. You're driving through a typical Northern Michigan forest that is fairly dense at times, no sand anywhere, it's all trees and leaves and grass, and you park on the side of the road and go up and through the trees and all of a sudden they open up to a huge span of sandy dunes high above the enormous lake.. it almost looks like it was cut out of completely different time and place and just dropped from space by some aliens. A very cool place. Unfortunately my photos don't do it justice. (I will add more photos as I process them, there was a lot of spots on my lens that need to be cleaned up in post).

All shot with the "Craptastic" combo of 16/2.8+UWA and 1650.

Pretty cool! I don't recall dunes like these other than in Chile. So this is a wonderful surprise.
