It's been a long time coming, and I've changed us over from vBulletin to Xenforo.

    What we gain:
-Better gallery (see tab at the top)
    -Better mobile site
    -Faster performance
    -More secure
    -Cleaner design (IMO)
    -More stable software

    What is broken:
    -Like button - fixed
-Link to Buy & Sell - fixed
-HTML support in forum posts - high priority
    -Other stuff (tell me)
    -Subscriptions

    What is missing:
    -Right column Recent Discussions
-Ability to use templates to post in Buy & Sell
    -Some smilies
    -Other stuff (tell me)
    -Buy/sell feedback
    -Ads

Subscribing members, please cancel your recurring donations. To do so, go to the Profile drop-down menu at Paypal and select "My Money". Where it shows "pre-approved payments", click update at the right. Then select Virginia Sabet and select cancel.

The reason I'm asking this is that subscriptions don't carry over from the old software to this one. I have to figure out how to do subscriptions with this software. In the meanwhile, I figure that if everyone cancels payments now and I keep everyone's donor status active for a year from after everyone has been notified by email (not yet sent), then I'm not shorting anyone.

I like the "alerts" functionality. Cool :)

I'd say it looks a bit plain, but I think that is because there is no "talkemount" image banner/type thing up the top. I guess that is coming?

I see the site is back up. But Tapatalk doesn't seem to recognise the change yet.

OK first problem. How do you get it to show threads 'upside-down' so the newest post is at the top. It's infuriating that when you click a thread it takes you back to ~2011 when it was started!

Nice thing I just found, if you start a reply, then navigate around the forum and come back to the thread where you started the reply, it remembers what you already put! Very useful!

    Wow, big change for sure...

I find it too confusing to navigate through the forum now...probably just me and perhaps I'll get used to it...

I miss the "unread posts" right column :(

I do as well. There is a 'Recent Posts" tab.

There are a couple ways to go to the latest unread post. One of them:

    2015-02-16_0750.

Also clicking the link to the far right of a post with the ammount of time since the last post does the same thing.

Only mentioning this because you asked...when I use my desktop shortcut to bring up the Talkemount site, this is what I get...I've logged off and back on, cleared cache, etc...get the same thing...then if I start wandering off clicking other things I can get to some functions, etc

I missed that! If I'm not mistaken, the green circle goes to first unread, and the time goes to the most recent post in the thread.

It's because your desktop shortcut goes to www.talkemount.com/forum.php. Please edit it to go to www.talkemount.com.

    OK, got it, thanks.

Also, in trying to delete / clear out my private messages, can't find a way to do that.
Figured out how to select them, etc...but then find no delete function.

The new software has good functionality, and Tapatalk introduces work, security issues, SEO issues. Do we need Tapatalk support?

I don't know how to do that either. It'll take some time for us to figure everything out.

Idk about anyone else. But i prefer being able to check this and multiple other forums I frequent in one application (Tapatalk) while on the go with ease. I wouldn't mind making this the only forum I open chrome for if it came down to it. I'm just severely dependent on Tapatalk for about 6 other forums so it was nice to be able to check this forum as well while I was there.
