Available for pre-order in black and silver: Sigma 60mm f/2.8 DN Lens for Sony NEX| B&H Photo Video
Great to have more options.
Not sure this one is gonna get as much fan fare as the rest of the Sigma's with the 50mm E mount being so close in price, yet with a better F stop.
Thanks for posting Amin. Seems like a very good price, hopefully we should see them in the UK soon.
Great price...I just wish it was a little faster! I'd be tempted to pay a lot more for it if it was a stop faster. As it is...with the price and FL being so close to the Sony 50, which is great optically, has OSS and is 1 1/3 stops faster, I'll probably just go with that.
SEL50F18 sells for 270 euros (cheapest web shop price including delivery) so it is quite a challenge to beat it. That 240 USD is probably going to be something like 240 euros (we have 23% VAT here in Finland) so the price is almost same.
actually if you search around you can find the SEL50F18 below 250 eur including delivery.
that sigma is worthless. don't know how they'll sell it. maybe they'll lower the price.
Not worthless but price difference is too low. SEL50F18 is excellent lens, has OSS and is over a stop faster. Both have similar close focus qualities. I am waiting for comparison. This is not a high priority focal length for me any way as intended use is small children photographs.
First review of the lens that I saw with nex 7:
Sigma 60mm f2.8 DN Art Lens for Nex 7 Portraiture | Photocine News
oh my gosh that is some awful retouching.

I think I'll buy one after being very impressed with the Sig 19 and 30, which I bought last week. I have the 50 1.8, but these Sigmas are lovely too.

We all look forward to seeing what you do with it.
I'm going to try one tomorrow alongside the 50 1.8. I reckon I will end up buying the Sigma though. We shall see!
It looks intriguing, but the lack of OSS is a problem for me with 19/30 in low light. Wonder how it compares to 50.
