Wow - I can't believe there's no archive for this one, yet. Oh, well - better late than never!

The 2.8 max aperture is pretty pedestrian for a normal-range prime lens and I'm not crazy about the BOKEH (or the construction for that matter).

But the detail rendering sure is spectacular!

I like the slightly wider viewing angle, too (much more than 35mm). This lens will stay in my landscape roaming kit as long as I'm shooting NEX.

Much is spoken about the good optical quality of the old MF lenses little about AF lenses with E Mount because the choice is limited. After reading a lot of testing and user experiences which were suitable for the Nex AF lenses I have consciously chosen for the two Sigma 's. I can't test lenses but there are enough reviews where the Sigma's from the test very well, even very well and I can speak from my own experience. Also known as once thought to a MF lens and here on the forum requested information about but there nevertheless seen off because a MF for me actually is not an option. Onley I hope that in 2013 the arsenal of lenses for the Nex what is more extensive.

The Sigmas certainly are very good Frank. The choice of AF lenses is very limited, if you take out the Sony lenses, which do not suit my work, it is even more limited. I live in hope that Sigma will come out with a 50/60, this would complete my NEX experience, more or less anyway.
