There are bunch of posts regarding this on dpreview:
I haven't moved the baffles on the lenses but from my testing I can get usable 1.2-1.3 crops from nex lenses. That makes Sony 35mm & 50mm more usable in low lighting due to OSS and Sigma 19mm due to wide angle deficiency on A7(R), but the corners might not be the best for landscape uses...
Now that looks interesting, I'm going to try that for sure.
Baffle stripped out of Sigma 30 ready to go. Unfortunately the weather here is not exactly conducive to useful lens testing!!!
Maybe tomorrow the sun will shine
Well, the sun did shine today
And I did get out to try the Sigma on the A7. Results were a little inconclusive, further testing required. Suffice to say they looked encouraging, certainly better than the kit zoom is capable of.
At the moment I am seeing better results from APS-C, mainly the Fuji X Pro 1. But I am lacking a decent lens for the A7, so its likely that it will be back shelved until I can get to try the Zeiss offerings.
However, I will continue to work with the Sigma for the moment.
Pictures or it didn't happen Rich!
