    I got tired of working, so I told my clients to take a powder, got permission from she-who-must-be-obeyed, and took off for a little 1,900-mile motorcycle loop around the eastern Sierras, Death Valley, and central Nevada to check out the fall colors.

    I'm pretty sure that I timed it well.

    And even in Death Valley, where there are no trees, there was plenty to delight the eye.

    I took plenty more, which can be seen on my Flickr page.

    Wow, David, gorgeous colors. My wife and I especially like the "Walker Lake Road".

    Can you believe it, we were in that area at about the same time. Will post our pictures soon.

    Yeah, you, me, and it seemed like half of the western world! ;)

    I look forward to seeing what you brought back, Brian. Though I do hope they don't put mine to too much shame!

    Wow David!!! #6 and #7 are simpy breathtaking :thumbup:
    Amazing clarity and that "3D pop" (not sure if that the correct term - pls ignore if it doesn't make sense :D )

    Also, gotta say I'm pretty "jealous" that you can just decide it like that, leave work and family behind for a little time and and make a small 1900 mile trip :D

    Great work!

    Beautiful country, and beautiful shots.
    Thought it was nice that the half-moon cooperated and was visible in that one shot;
    And I never would have guessed such pretty scenes would be in a place called "Death Valley"

    Works for me! ;) Both of those were taken with the SEL70200G. I don't use it often, but when I do, it never disappoints.

    Well, I can only abuse my clients so much, but my wife has always allowed me to go run around "off-leash" as she puts it. I'm a very lucky man.

    Gorgeous photos!

    I must convince my other half to either take the trip with me or let me go alone.
