How's the AF performance on with the 7artisans and TAP? Native-like? Eye-AF?
It's fast enough for street photography. Works best with center point focusing. Eye AF works, but on the A7III I find hit rate is more dependent on the lens being used and apparently works better on the A9. The main thing is getting AF with M-mount image rendering. I've tried lenses like the Samyang 24mm and 35mm 2.8 and they just don't have the same look.

Sony NEX6 w/Minolta MD W.ROKKOR-X 28mm f2.8. A wonderful lens. Fun to use on the NEX-6.

No love in this thread in a year? Since I didn't get any shots with it yet, phone camera pics of it mounted will have to do for now. The 100-300 APO on my A7RII!

I think this thread has died down since Sony has pretty much filled out their native lens lineup.
I still use a lot of adapted lenses, even have a few I've bought in the last year, I'll get some pics of them together and post soon.

I've been remiss in not posting to this thread too. I have posted pics of the lenses in use in the threads containing pics taken with them, mostly flowers due to stay at home restrictions here in CA.

Is it just an SR type mount like I'd find on my 58mm f1.4 MC Rokkor PF lens?
I've never seen one like yours before.

Edit to correct mount type - thanks Michel!

Yes, it is the unusual and somewhat rare MD ZOOM ROKKOR-X that dates back from around 1975-77 for the MC Version and likely 1977-78 for the MD version that was replaced by the MD ZOOM ROKKOR 35-70 F 3.5 around November 1978.

Minolta's first trans-standard zoom. SR Mount, just like your MC 58mm F 1.4

Very cool lens!
Thanks for the info, I'll have to keep my eyes open for one of those.

Although much less than a few years ago, I still use legacy lenses. The pictures were made with the wonderful Minolta Auto Bellows Macro 4/100 and they show two crème-de-la-crème 28mm legacy lenses. 28mm is the only focal length for which I can't find a suitable native lens: I don't like the image rendering of the Sony FE 2/28 and the Sigma 1.4/28 is out-of-this-world heavy and big. Still hoping that Zeiss or Voigtländer will come with something.

The EBC X-Fujinon-Z 75-150mm f4.5 on my A7R2. A mount I don't think I've seen here, the 70's era Fuji XF. I'd never even heard of that mount until I saw a lot of 4 of them on sale on ebay.

I think it'd be cool if you could take a picture of the mount end of the lens with it naked so we could see what it looks like. I've never seen a Fuji mount myself.

Ad, I'm curious as to what it is about the Sony 28 rendering you don't like. Too sharp?
