Promo shot I did this week at the Dive Motel in Nashville, TN. This was a test/portfolio shoot for the model and I but a local shop provided the model with some pieces for us to showcase including these Chanel sunglasses. The pool at this motel has a side that slowly dips into the water so Annsley was able to lay down just partially submerged here. The light is from the a mix of sun and strobe. The sun was low in the sky to camera right while above and to camera left I had a 48" parabolic softbox over an AD600 Godox strobe. The outer diffuser was removed leaving just the inner baffle to provide a more direct, but broad light. The cloudy sky made for intersting reflections in the glasses make them look a bit "unreal".

I hope you agree this qualifies as "portrait"

"Lighter than Air"

A favorite shot from my recent shoot with the lovely and super talented Delaine Dobbs. I'm calling this one "Lighter than Air" as she appears to be floating just off the floor. Her right foot is not quite touching and you can barely see her left heel is off the ground too. I assume she's on her left toe (hidden behind the dress) but who knows.. she could very well be floating. :)

Autumn in Santa Fe with the stunning Terra Wise. This shot by the nearby rail yard is just so full of color (and beauty) I had to keep looking back at the adjustments to confirm I didn't increase the saturation. I didn't but it sure looks that way.

It's been a crazy, exciting Summer and Fall. Her Birthday in Aug, adoption in Sept and baptism this Friday. All amidst Covid concerns and hybrid schooling

Very nice! I especially like #3. Her front teeth have come in since Halloween!

Terra Wise showing us how its done with this late afternoon shot in downtown Santa Fe. Every time I look through the images from our shoot together I find something new I didn't notice before. In this case we got a perfectly clear view of what Terra was seeing in the reflections in her glasses. Beauty viewing beautiful!
