I had the pleasure of spending some vacation time in this beautiful country and despite quite a bit of rain (well, it is Scotland after all) covered a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time and saw some great sights. It is difficult to capture the experience in photos but here is a sampling. I hope you enjoy them.

Shot with A6000 - I believe all were with the 16-70z.

Thank you, Mike. It was a wonderful trip. Such a beautiful place and very friendly, welcoming people. There were, of course, many places I didn't get to see, including Aberdeen, but I guess that just makes for a good excuse for future visits!

Tourists certainly flock to the west coast and central belt which is good as it leaves the east coast nice and quiet for us locals :D
The east has a lot going for it in the way of castle trails, whisky trails and some stunning coastlines and villages.
The weather is usually drier in the east as well ;)

That's what I had heard. I really wanted to make it over to the east, but as a first time visitor it seemed a geographical challenge if I also wanted to see some of the things on the west. I must admit a little bit drier weather would have been very welcome, however :)
