I've just recived my A7 and now wondering what settings you guys use? Will shoot mostly manual focus with autofocus from now and then. One thing I wanna use is back button focus, so I can focus and recompose. This camera is alot different from my nikon and I really trying to learn the menus, bit haven't got that far yet.

Unless shooting in the studio with stobes, have Live View Display set to Setting Effect ON so you see live in the viewfinder your image.

I use and love what Ross calls "Exposure Compensation Dial "Priority" (#2) method in his blog post:

This is where EVF shooting just blows away SLR's in my opinion. I run in M w/ Auto ISO and just dial in EV + or - as I see how I want the exp in the viewfinder or adjusting the live Histogram. I don't always have Zebras on. Another variation is shoot in B&W Creative Style and use what you see in viewfinder to judge your exposure for the RAW's.
