SEL50 and depth of field

    Hi,
    assume the following scenario. You have your SEL50 loved lens and you find a nice scene that you need to have very large DOF the same way you will do for a landscape (but perhaps with a more wide lens). Which aperture would you try to keep think in focus without reaching diffraction limits?

    Well, I'd want to know what you mean by "very large DOF," because without knowing exactly what DOF you want, it's not possible to specify an aperture. But just as an example, with a 50mm lens on a camera with an APS-C camera, in order to get everything from 6m to infinity in focus, you'd set your aperture for f/11, and I suspect that no one would be able detect any diffraction.
