Rob Sims over at DPReview has created some Lightroom lens profiles for the SEL1018 to help make the lens behave better on the A7 and A7R. He provided me with a link to his dropbox, and encouraged me to share it here.

    Dropbox - My Lens Profiles

I had a few minutes this afternoon to shoot some quick sample images and test out the profiles. Here they are, shot at 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, and 18mm.

    DSC00112. DSC00113. DSC00114. DSC00115. DSC00116.

I must say that I find the vignette correction perhaps a little overdone. But hey, they're free! And I now think this lens is perfectly usable on the full-frame cameras from ~12mm to ~16mm. Not a bad ultra wide range, if you ask me.

Thanks for sharing! These profiles offer a great improvement, but still my door in the test picture looks like it's drunk :). For non-architecture photography results are quite OK, I think.

Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately, I can't figure out what folders to put what profiles in. Can someone give me some guidance?
    BTW, I have LR 5.3.

On a Mac, put them in Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0. Dunno about a Windows machine.

Sorry to wake up an old thread. I need some clarification please.

This lens (10-18mm/F4) with the A7 on full-frame mode produces 10-18mm FOV or 15-27mm FOV? (I know that it is 15-27mm FOV in crop mode).

    Thanks very much.
