I've used the LENSPEN SENSORKLEAR with great success. A blower never really seems to remove anything but the very lightest of dust specks for me. Some may tell you not to touch the sensor with anything, but that's seriously out-of-date information. The NEX sensor is protected by hardened glass. You can practically go after it with steel wool.

I'll keep that in mind for next time.
There's nothing special about cleaning the "sensor". Clean it the same way you would clean a lens since that's really what you are doing.
