Screw the PJ type misery pictures, post your HAPPY shots !

I recently made a post about how shocked/disappointed in was in this year's World Press Photo Awards winners. War, pain, cruelty, gore, more war, more wounded/dead children. You get the idea.
I'm not pulling wool over my own eyes, I know how too well these things are real (and believe me, they've kept me awake at night more than once, I feel way more empathy for the world that I care to), but I would have liked to see *also* some hopeful, surprising, awing photos.
So I decided we should make up for that with a HAPPY thread. Well cared, loved, safe and comfortable kids, funny pets, beautiful lovers, silly friends, gorgeous places, yummy food, whatever makes you feel happy and smile.
    I'll start :

Not a great pic (technically speaking, anyway), but here Lucy is the happiest dog ever as she's trying to lick the falling snow:

I get sick of the misery shots too. I also get really sick of "colorful ethnic people" shots, as they always feel exploitative...nevertheless, this is the happiest picture I've ever taken!

Too right, all the 'beautiful' photos always seem destined to end up on some fundraising appeal for maximum emotional blackmail mileage or only worth publishing in a newspaper if there was something gutwrenching about it. What if you were in a small rural village, there was no war nearby, the kids were healthy and going to school, they'd just had a decent harvest, and their friends and relatives were visiting from the city, which was always an enjoyable occasion? The scene might look a little like this:

here's a happy story about my grandtwins thomas and oliver, my son and his wife had almost given up hope of having children for various reasons, then these little miracles happened, they were born about 3 months premature and had a really hard struggle to survive, but they pulled through and we are very lucky.
