I had a short business trip in Madrid. These were all taken with the A6000 and the 16-50pz kit lens. That lens doesn't get much respect, but it certainly is convenient when you need to pack light. I decided to take it and leave my 16-70Z home. I can't complain with the results and it was very nice to have such a small and light kit with me.

Fantastic cityscapes. The kit lens gets maligned, but it's been a potent travel combo with my a6000.

Nice set. I am currently in Madrid for business too but not happy with my shots so far. Agree with Nick #7 rocks.

    Thanks everyone.

Iz, I wasn't happy with my shots when I was taking them either, but when I got home and saw some of them on the computer, i thought several actually looked pretty good. I don't know if you have a computer with you or if you are just looking at things on the camera. I REALLY don't like that small widescreen display on the back of the A6000. I usually will review pictures in the EVF and then everyone thinks I am taking a picture and doesn't want to walk in front of the camera. Lol

Well, actually I always carry my Mac in addition to my work PC just to be able to process my photos. And this time, believe me, nothing came out (still have one or two shot to import - did not shoot that much). At least from my perspective and I tend to be very particular about the quality of the photos I do...I should maybe have tried not to look after the perfect picture and the perfect picture only ! This is how I probably missed some other interesting subjects. I know this building of the Tio Pepe in Sol. It is just perfect at night with all the lights and did not even thought about taking a picture of it. I should have...obviously.
I just missed the sunset yesterday which was about to be awesome. Did not want to be selfish and left my local colleague alone...anyway.
I am luckily traveling quite often and will make it next time...
The bright side is that being here too and seeing your shots made me realize that I probably missed occasions just because of being too demanding with myself or focusing on some specific type of photos only. Good lesson learned.
    Thanks for that.
    Cheers

    Yannis
