    I really like the tree canopy. I could not help wondering if those lakes are inside calderas; they remind me a lot of Crater Lake.

    Wonderful set, I especially like #4, 6, 7, and 8, but they are wow.

    Thanks all. Yes, these are caldera lakes.

    As for the mounds in #5, folks cook the famous Furnas Cozido (meat and vegetables) for 6 hours using the heated ground from the geothermal energy. The village of Furnas is famous for its "fumarolas", here is a guy cooking corn. The downside is the sulphurous smell:)
