So i bought the Samyang 8mm F2.8 for my NEX 7 after being very happy with the old one for my old canon 600d.
But this lens does not seem very nice at all, the corner are purple and the vingetting is horrible even stopped down to F11
    Here is some pics.
Excuse me for the dirt spots on my sensor.

Do anyone else have this problem or is it my copy that is problematic?

This is typical results of that lens on the Nex-7. You can fix most of the purple if you shoot RAW in Post Processing.

Yes. That is a well documented issue with Nex 7.

Is there anyway you can fix videos with this problem?

The only way I know how to fix in video is to shoot in Black & White. :D

shiet, seeing as i shoot skateboarding and the fisheye is my main lens it seems like the NEX 7 is not the camera for me :(

I've asked A6000 users if they experience the same thing as the sensor is based on the NEX-7 sensor. I haven't been able to get a clear answer. If the A6000 does not have those issues I would likely switch as I do a fair bit using my Rokinon/Samyang 8mm.

I had it on the a6000 and I didn't have any issues. I don't know what version he had, but I had the Rokinon fisheye II.

    here is a sample

Obviously I centered the horizon and corrected verticals in post.

I'm about to buy a Samyang fisheye (for the a6000), but haven't decided yet between the f2.8 or f3.5, because I was afraid of that purple vignetting I hear so much, but reading this post I think I made up my mind and go with the f2.8, it's a lot smaller and lighter, and from what I see in the reviews is sharper than the 3.5 in the centre and corners.

I'm pretty happy with the 12mm f/2.0, the built and looks of the lens are great, so will buy more Samyang lenes :)
