    It will be interesting to see what the quality control on shipping units will be like. I'd love love love an 85 1.4 GMaster but I have to admit I'm not sure that I would be getting necessarily 'better' for my shooting envelopes. I'd like to try both side by side personally. I've found recently that I have gravitated towards Zeiss' colour rendering and approach to fall off to Sony's. An example of this is the loxia 50 over the 55 FE. While technically faster the 50 for me produces a more enjoyable output. Similarly with the 35 Distagon and the Loxia 35 which I also own - in both situations I'd prefer the loxia for the 3d effect and colours which just work wonderful with skin tones.
    I've no doubt the GM 85 will be phenomenal - but I am a little apprehensive to call it a day on the Batis which is quite possibly my favourite lens to shoot in terms of IQ, size, build, everything ;)
