My Vivitar 135/2.8 has a new rival, a Sakar Auto MC 135/2.5. If you didn't see my thread, I got it in a package with a Minolta 28/2.8 and a Minolta Rokkor-X 50/1.7. I had never heard of this brand until picking it up and looking at it. The Sakar has an unusual form factor, with a focus ring and a separate macro ring. I haven't weighed it, but it has great balance on the Nex. The photos it yields are quite good, in my humble opinion. I'm not going to dump the Vivitar, but this one is going to stay in my bag for a while. All of these were taken at f/4.

Well, I'm waiting for the coke bottle bottom lens shots. You shall hereafter be known as "the lens whisperer" for your ability to coax quality images from any lens. ;)

A few more from later this morning. Even more hazy and overcast than the photos taken with the MD 28/2.8 earlier. I think the Vivitar 135/2.8 may be a bit sharper on the distance photos, but I do like this lens's close up ability. Last photo in this set is not as sharp as I'd like, but the A319 was moving pretty fast by then, and I was just trying to keep it centered.

A few from this morning. Much better than the first time I tried to use it for long distance scenery. Abundant light always helps. :)
