    Very lucky to have these in New Zealand. Very graceful in flight, but a little clumsy on the deck.

    It's not often I see shots on the web that pass my stringent tests,...namely;

    1) Do I wish that I had done it.......2) Will it stay in my mind when I stop looking at it.......3) will I want to keep looking at it.

    Your second pic here passes the test!

    If it were mine I would crop slightly left hand side to bring beak and feet the same distance form edge of image. Then I would print with some care to 20 x 30 inches approx......then frame in white satin moulding, no too thick. Placed on the newly decorated wall of my living room above the long sofa, on midnight blue wall it would look absolutely sensational and I would always be looking at it.....

    .....The last pic is passable too!......

    These may be the first shots I've seen of these in flight, thanks for posting these up. Re: being clumsy on the deck- that's always been my impression of pelicans.

    Amazing as always, Danny. I spooked a Heron at the wetlands a couple of evenings ago, and didn't even get a pic. Don't know how you do it with those long lenses.
