A bit surprised there are no other samples for this lens. It's a fun lens to have, although with my NEX-7 I have to deal with some purple vignetting. I had it on my camera often while in Walt Disney World last year.

Ummm... https://www.talkemount.com/showthread.php?t=2458 Granted I probably put them in the wrong place... ;)

Nice shots, a fisheye is always fun. I've planned to spend one whole day shooting just the fisheye, bit I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Hey, that was a dig on me, not you. It is a native e-mount lens, not adapted. Back then my thinking was native = Sony.

    ;)

I also love how small the lens is - especially compared to some other F/E I've seen. Do you find you like it more than your Pentax?

It's also great for some interesting candid shots as no-body realises they are in the shot when you are pointing the lens at 45 degrees away from them!

Yeah I do. It's smaller, lighter, less expensive and honestly I never shot the Pentax at anything other than 10mm anyway so the zoom was wasted on me. It might have been different if I hadn't already had a Sigma 10-20 though.

Theses are great examples of how this lens works. It is often incredibly sharp. By the way I have one for sale in the for sale forum.

Great results from your new Rokinon 2.8! Color and sharpness is wonderful.

I just got a similar lens, their 8mm f.35 fisheye for my a6000, yesterday.
I've found it a bit difficult to dial in the focus and my test shots have been hit or miss. Most of the MF tools aren't available, the the image is wide and shallow on both EVF and screen.
Although our bodies are different, yet similar operation...what are your settings and focusing technique to yield sharp captures?

Well, on the f/2.8 version you can pretty much dial in f/8 and focus at about 1 meter and everything will be in focus. Actually even wide open the DOF is huge. Using magnification helps with focusing. I find it pretty easy to focus the thing, lining up the shot so everthing is even and keeping your feet out of the frame is a PITA though. :p

A few more. I took these at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis - 3 separate exposures using a tripod and combined in Photomatix.

Awesome shots. And awesome that they let you use a tripod. :)

Chris - Very nice shots. I can't believe they let you use a tripod. You must have some pull. ;)

What version is this? Is it the Fisheye II or the first one? I ask because I read that the first version wasn't great with 24mp cameras.
