Got this lens just today, so I haven't had a chance to really go out and test it. My initial impressions are

(1) it has a nice build. A little heavy, but expected given its size and aperture. It's not so imbalanced that tripod is required.
(2) Images are crisp so far, as long as the focus is nailed;
(3) focus rings are a bit stiff, not silky smooth in operations, but it's a very small gripe on my part;
(4) the included hood is flimsy. Again, at least it has a hood, right, Olympus?
(5) it doesn't fit well on my EOS-Nex adapter. Rattles a little - and I'm pretty sure it's not the adapter as I tried other EOS lenses and they all are a good fit.
(6) Bokehlicious

Sample shots below (all @ f/1.4, otherwise why buy the lens, right? ;) )

I wish people would stop posting adaptors, I get adaptor envy and makes me go onto amazon to buy them..... just in case I see some bargain lens

Hehe.. Sorry, I couldn't help you there. :) I specifically bought the NEX for manual focus lenses - I don't have even one native lens. I might, but not yet. :)

The Sigma 30mm is well worth it if you just want one native lens. The startup is a little slow but I love the image quality.

looks great in the nex, I have seen some photos on f1.4 and the bukeh produces is incredible, high contrast and sharpness. The DOF works very well, like the pic 1 ..
The size is similar to the 18-200 E , could say something it's a bit heavy?

(Wow - I can't believe my last post here was somewhere back in July!! FWIW, I've only recently re-activated myself on the other sister forums. :p)

Some more from this lens with the C3:

This is a very interesting lens Hyubie... a 85mm f1.4 is rare if not unusual. Adapted onto a NEX that would be a 127mm f1.4 and THAT is very appealing.

Just to confirm... this lens is AF with a Canon EOS mount? Then you've used an non-electronic, non-optical adapter to the NEX - and you are using it in MF only?

Nope, even on Canon it is MF only. I don't think Rokinons have AF on any mount. Best they can do I think is AF confirm chip.

Does aperture electronic selection work on the NEX with your adapter set-up (if on shutter priority, does the lens select aperture automatically)? Or is the aperture selected manually like how it's done with legacy lenses?

It's treated as legacy glass on NEX. There is an aperture ring on the lens. I put the camera on A mode, adjust the aperture on the lens (but really, why buy an f/1.4 if you'll just go f/4, right? :D), and let the camera decide the shutter speed. I use ISO 200 when I'm in good light, otherwise Auto ISO.
