Given the interest in the FE28 f/2 due to the ongoing lens give away contest, I thought I would share some images taken with the FE28 and my NEX-6 from a road trip in June to Colorado. Great light in El Malpais National Monument (New Mexico) (ISO 200, f/9 1/30s) (ISO 200, f/8, 1/100) All the recent rains left Colorado green. The shrub oaks were just leafing out. (ISO 100, f/3.5, 1/1600s) I was fascinated by the Aspen trees. (ISO 100, f/2, 1/2500s) (ISO 100, f/2.2, 1/320s) until this creepy abandoned building caught my eye... (ISO 100, f/2.2, 1/160s) ...only to get sucked in by the aspens again (ISO 100, f/4, 1/800s) This is a favorite focal length of mine on both APS-C and my 35mm film cameras (I'm saving for an A7). I picked up the FE28 because I think it could be great on both APS-C and FF cameras, and it is half a stop to full stop faster than my legacy lenses. I really like this lens: great colors and contrast. This lens does have some distortion -- I have corrected it in LR5 manually. If left uncorrected, the lens seems to shoot wider than 28mm.
