    Greetings!
Just wanted to share some images from my recent visit to the Aviary.
I mostly wanted to test the FD 400mm F4.5 and I am extremely happy with it!
All handheld but it is not that hard to handle at all that lens.

And even tried a quick portrait shot with the Canon FD 400mm F4.5 which actually turned out pretty good I think :)

Wow you are getting great colour and contrast out of that lens. What aperture were you shooting at?

Thanks amigo. There were some nice birds there. My wife and I had a great time.

Well I changed many times trying to keep the ISO as low as possible depending on the light available but mostly 4.5 or a couple of clicks above it, and maybe a few at F8. That is the only sad part about manual lenses to me...I am a sucker for having that info on my pics :D

    Thanks ! :)

Awesome shots! And I'm most impressed that you could keep a 400mm legacy lens so steady - great job!

It does help that I am using a Lens Turbo 2 so that it is closer to 400mm instead of 600mm with the crop factor too. Thanks for the kind words! :)

Why thank you! I am sucker for detail and sharpeness indeed which is why A7 (or even A7R) are on my future list but the NEX-6 is still kicking! :D
