It is for them to keep track of their swimming events.. the grid shows event #, heat #, stroke & distance... the rest is “team graffiti”, such as “eat my bubbles”
...and of course the kids always use permanent sharpies...

These pictures were taken at the Artists Paintpots in Yellowstone NP. The portion of the loop trail around the pots is less than a mile. However, in this small area the diversity of the geology is amazing. Some pools/pots are clear; some are milky blue. Steam. Wonderful colors. These were taken with a Sony a58/Tamron 18-200mm.
