i just sold my a7r and was heavily thinking of getting the a7rii and selling my A7ii.

Question is, do you think the 24 1.8 would perform better in crop mode on the A7rii or the a6000?

I'm not talking megapixels just IQ and overall image.

Debating if it makes more scense to keep the A7ii and just get an a6000. Mind you that I mostly use legacy lenses anyway.

    Thanks for your input.

In theory it should be pretty close, but actually the A6000 does have slightly higher pixel density.

I would think that if you have the A7II, the best IQ you'd get would be by selling the 24 F1.8 and getting the FE 35mm F2.8.

Roughly the same depth of field, and the noise performance would still be a tiny bit better at F2.8 on full frame compared to F1.8 on APSC.

It's all really close though, as proved by Amin's test:
