Did my first studio shoot today with my a6000.

The studio lighting was controlled with a yn 602, I had two issues
    1. The issues with the flash not triggering, got this sorted by jiggering the yn602 around a bit on the hot shoe. I believe this is a know issue with the a6000? Are there any better fixes?
    2. When I did get the flashes firing there was a dark band across the top of the images, I tried a couple of lens which both had the same affect.

I have some yn560iv and tx which I have not seen had these issues. Any help much appreciated.

    1. No better fix, just grind the hot shoe.
    2. Sounds like your sync speed is too high.

Thanks for your quick response, with regards to the sync speed is this controlled by the shutter speed?

Yes, with shutter speed faster than 1/200s, there might be a problem. Set shutter speed to 1/160 will solve it. Not all lights can get away with 1/200s.

The best fix if you don't want to scratch your hot shoe is to purchase the Sony FA-CS1M Off-Camera Shoe for External Flash with Multi-Interface Shoe it work for me 100%
