Rolled out of bed early today and drove up into the hills overlooking the city of Reading, PA. It was foggy and cold. I had visions of capturing the city peaking out of a thin blanket of fog with the morning sun creating all kinds of magic. Alas, it was not to be. The fog was much thicker than I anticipated. In fact as I write this at 9:30 am I've yet to see the sun.

I brought along my tripod and a few lenses. I ended up using the SEL 50mm except for the wide shot of the Pagoda which was taken with the Rokinon 8mm fe.

    These were the keepers.

I must admit i like the last one the most as well, despite the fact it took the least amount of work and least amount of freezing my tush off. It's one of those shots you see while driving and at least for me a shot I usually don't stop for and pay for with later regret. This time I did stop, pulled over to the side of the road and took the shot out of the window of my warm car with tripod folded up but still attached to the camera. :D

I initially took a few after turning off my headlights, but then tried a few with the headlights on which is the one you see. It nicely illuminated the median strip.

I appreciate your intent to capture images in the mystery of fog but you hit it big with your drive home. There's your fog shot my friend. So nice, beautiful reflection off center line demands the center of attention driving an upward curve of the landscape. Nice to see the lines supported by the craft of a man made stone bridge and your mystery lies on the other side deeper into the fog. Well Done! :clapping:

Agree that #4 is fav, #3 is very good and I love #1. For some reason #2 isn't doing it. Maybe too much in the in-focus foreground? I like #1 over #2.

    Appreciate you sharing them all!

Some efforts are worth it. Even though the fog was more pea soup, you resulted with some winners. #3 and 4 really do it for me. The headlights did well to illuminate the yellow stripes.
