Practicing my lighting

    Lately most of my studio shots I've been taking are on a uniformly black/dark gray backdrop. I thought I'd try mixing it up a little on this one, so I added a subtle horizon line and spotlighted the background a little.


    Here's the setup for the shot. You can't see it here, but there is another Yongnuo YN560-III with a Rogue Grid on it under the table and pointed at the backdrop. Took quite a bit of time to position it just right to center the spotlight behind the subject!


    In the end, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, although the horizon line might be a bit too subtle to the point where it looks unintentional.
