I shot a modeling session this week in the Los Angeles Art District. I used the Sony A7 II, Commlite ENF-E1 Nikon AF adapter and adapted the Nikon 20mm 1.8 G, 85mm 1.8 G and Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art Nikon mount. All natural light, no reflectors or strobes since I work on-location and I like to work fast. Plus LA has some of the best year-round lighting, might as well put that sun to use! I edited using ACR and final output in DXO Film Pack using my own customized profile. Check it out! ;)

Love that last one. It’s like she’s got urban camouflage.

Got to agree with you there...the light looks wonderful. And also give my nod to that last shot. My favorite.

I'm not against strobes and using reflectors, but I'm usually shooting one-on-one with the models and I don't like being weighed down with equipment. If I lived somewhere a bit less sunny, I'd probably use some sort of off camera flash, but in LA I just don't see the point! Plus I like the natural look and prefer the models being on-point with their makeup, hair and wardrobe. :)
