A quickie lunar eclipse shot out the car window on my morning drive for work today. There were very few holes in the clouds during the eclipse in Northern Michigan. As luck would have it the clouds broke up as the eclipse was waning. Oh well, I'm glad I got to see some of it at least. They were calling for it to be a complete bust on the weather report last night.
Here are my eclipse photos. I set the alarm for 3am, stayed out until almost 4 then went back to bed!

Had to show you all this one. Huntington Beach puts up a mobile ice rink at Thanksgiving time so the locals can go ice skating. It's about 85* down there at the beach today. The air conditioners are working overtime to cool the water to skate on.
It's 90* in my back yard which is about 7 miles inland from where this picture was taken.

You guys run air conditioners at your ice rinks, we run heaters at ours!
It's getting harder and harder to find views of Mt. Shasta that I haven't photographed before. This time I had to hike ten miles round trip to get these shots. I was hoping the lake in the foreground hadn't yet had the chance to freeze, but...
