A (blue I think) heron randomly stopped by while I was visiting a park with my wife. I only had the Voigtlander 40mm/f1.2 with me on an A7Riii. I tried to get closer, but not surprisingly it got spooked and flew a couple of hundred yards up the back channel, at which point it was too far away for any further photos. Still, I thought this was an interesting capture. It was a little tricky getting rid of some foreground reeds and cattails that got in the way using Capture One.

This is on the other side of the wall. It needed about a foot higher of water to overflow to the reservoir on the left.

I should have taken a shot of the spill way on the left. It was barren but still interesting at the time and there was a guy sneezing nearby which distracted me and the wife as she pulled me away.
