Fooling around today and decided to take a portrait of "the Bazooka" (200-600mm) from a different perspective, accentuating the reflectivity of that huge glass:

Not the ideal lens, but it is the "standard" equivalent that lives on the camera ready for snapshots. Not a bad 100% crop.

I do have problems with the a6500 flash, over or under exposure. Its cheaper a6000 sibling was always simply point-and-shoot once I popped the flash up

Sony low light capabilities still astonish me. These deer have been visiting my backyard at twilight. My A7Rii could still autofocus and produce a usable, though noisy picture that looks like a cloudy afternoon. I denoised and sharpened in lightroom and i get a usable, though slightly weird looking image.

If you do a lot of dim or night shots, you might want to try Topaz Labs software Denoise and/or Sharpen. 30-day trials so you could experiment. I've read they are actually quite good.

Could just be me I suppose but he almost looks like he is striking a pose for you. :)

That last statement is how I felt about the Nikon D80 I used to have. Whenever it popped up the flash for fill lighting, the picture turned out great.

Pump track shenanigans, a lily pad, and a nosy spectator.

I placed my camera on a tall rock and was able during the day to get a long enough exposure to show water motion.

That first image is beautiful! I like the MTB-ing captures too. As a fellow MTB-er, I'd like to offer some advice and PSA regarding MTB-ing in open-toed footwear. There is a risk of mutilating your toes should they get caught between chain and chainring. The lack of chain guards on high performance bicycles, and the unpredictable surfaces of off-roading, an accident can lead to a permanently scarring or handicapping injury. It's best to always wear closed-toe shoes, ie. sneakers, cycling shoes, etc.
Stay safe!

Absolutely. We weren't out to go biking this time. Berry picking, actually. Turns out there was this little pump track right there next to the berry farm, and my bike was on the roof, so we took a few (slow) laps for fun... We don't trail ride in sandals, for sure. A useful PSA, thanks!
