In another thread it was commented that close-ups show all the muck on lenses. I thought I'd present to you Keyboard In A House With Cats.

Actually, I was just messing around with extension tubes for half an hour or so. And this keyboard was cleaned a few days ago: it is often much worse.

Great Blue Heron returning to his position on the base of a turned-off fountain in our lake; he had plunged into the water to grab something to eat but apparently was unsuccessful, as no fish in his mouth! Shot from quite a distance on my deck with the A7R IV and 200-600mm with 1.4x TC.

I feel bad whenever I pick up my camera and the battery shows only 17% charge and I haven't used it for more than a couple of days.
So here's a shot using my A7ii. [House bound by this Covid stuff is getting to me]

Those W batteries are the worst... ZED battery for life! Once you try it you won't go back. Well, obviously..

I'm not going to complain too much. They are what they are and technology has moved on. I've probably had worse battery life in a camera battery but it was so long ago I've forgotten it or which one it was. I don't shoot a whole lot any ways so it really isn't fair for me to complain.
I think the resting discharge of the ii is a lot higher than the iii. Could be wrong on that too.

I think it's the battery. The Z is also a lot bigger compared to W series. I don't know on 7R but on 7iii it seems like it lasts forever.

I did not think the W batteries were that terrible, but I did always have 2+ in case I ran out. Most of the time, one was sufficient, but I am a low-volume shooter.

The Z is incredibly long-lasting though. I have yet to run it all the way out (on A7Riii), so I have not even picked up a spare.
