Those old Pentax lenses have a real distinctive look to their Bokeh. Its like, a shimmering type effect? I really like it.

They are mechanically very good too. I think that they are the best made lenses. SMCs have pretty good coatings too so they are very nice to use even now.

Yeah they feel amazing, I have the 55mm F1.8 and the 200mm F4.

Does still bug me that they are backwards.

Pretty nice colors and blooms, why oh why you had to show this? Pentax SMC....

Edit: Ah! there is one of this lenses reasonably priced in my area, but it would overlap with my Vivitar S1 105 f2.5 Macro, its not for me :)

Are those wide open? I'm assuming the lens would be good at f/4, but wanted to ask. I've got the 135/3.5 and the 50/1.4. Love them both on the a7.

Number one for me is stunning. Beautiful bokeh. Coming into Autumn downunder. Nice to see your spring shows.

The "Iris Bud" was wide open, the "Nectarine" might be as well, the others are mostly at f/5.6.
