I took the Sakar 135/2.5 out for a stroll this morning. It was overcast and gloomy much of the morning, but the pics still turned out OK. The bashful turtle is the only one I saw today. I came upon it from behind as it was walking down the middle of the trail, and it withdrew into its shell when I was about 30' away. I guess they can feel vibrations in the ground.

Thanks guys. I am indeed amazed by the quality of images from a lens by a maker I'd never heard of until a few days ago.

I am always on the lookout when I'm walking. I did encounter a large black bear on the trail once, but it refused to stand still for a photo. Last I saw of it was its rump as it put a lot of distance between the two of us in a very short period of time. Glad it didn't decide the opposite. :)
